Photo Practice + Walk Outside

We think it’s been about 2 weeks since D and I made it outside. Olessia had been out to grocery shop. D and I ventured out, masked, and armed with cameras.

Before hand, I had been introducing D to the world of DSLRs using a Nikon D80. The bummer part is it’s a bit too big and heavy for it to be comfortable for D.

D with the Nikon D80. I’m not sure the settings, but the popup flash did fire. No additional corrections applied to the photo.

So after thinking a bit, I remembered we had a Canon A630 point and shoot camera (with the flippy screen!). I let him have a whirl with it and it looked like a way better fit. It’s smaller and lighter and fits in his hand. He could carry it with one hand. He didn’t have as many buttons and dials to worry about either.

So we took a walk around a couple blocks looking for things to shoot.
